Ritmos e Reflexos opened on 1 September 2014 in Cacém, built by Sandra Santos — Sandy to her students — around a simple idea: dance is for everyone, at every age, and the first step should be easy.
Twelve years later the academy on Avenida dos Bons Amigos still runs on small groups. Adults come for kizomba, semba, salsa and bachata after work; children come for ballet, hip hop and contemporary; couples come for their first dance.

I went to a trial class just to try it out… and I signed up right away. Those who dance are happier — and here I am happy.
